Losing emotions: roster needs to be blown up for a goalie and different O talent

I’d trade anyone other than aho-svetch-Slavin—KK in a package deal right now

I’d add, I wonder how Dundon is feeling about DW and RBA right now (still not signed for next year yet). DW right now gets a F for off season construction

Tough way to blow 40 minutes of good effort. In the 3rd they looked every bit of a team that was mentally on to the next game. And even at that, they likely still win if Kochetkov isn’t actively whiffing on pucks.

This very much feels like the stage where a team stops caring about the regular season and routinely leaves Ws on the table against motivated opponents.

We leave w's on the table against everyone.

I'm over it. I'm reducing my games this year. Not spending 300 bucks plus tickets to watch this product. Between this bullshit and the tb game i went to I'm over it.

The good news is that the weaknesses are glaring right now and Don cannot ignore them anymore. And after Brindys reaction in the Edmonton game, you have to believe there is growing pressure internally to fix this.

So something is going to have to give. Raanta apparently cannot be trusted to play and Kooch cannot be trusted to make a save. Offensively, we struggle to do anything, and our stars are largely passengers. And I'm not sure a small roster tweak is enough to get us back on the right track

Kochetkov is killing this team. The second goal is one that cannot happen and creates such doubt in the team playing in front of him. Granted the team is not helping him at all-knowing he is young and experienced, but it is soul crushing to let the tie goal in that way.
The team in front of him has to play a lot better. They carried a 40 year old zamboni driver to a win. Having to help a backup out is not too much to ask. This is not on Kochetkov.

Nope no small fix really and it’s hard to make blockbuster trades in season because most teams are pressed up against the cap. Too many of the same players up front. Too many guys disappear at the same time

If they were playing at a level closer to the last few seasons you could hide this goaltending but it's not particularly good right now (obvi). Even with a bad third that's a winnable or pointable game with a better goalie performance. Not even a crazy, steal the game third. Just solid would have been fine.

Unfortunately, it seems it'd probably be hard to upgrade goalie right now, but you never know when randos like Connor Ingram or Lyon get on these runs sometimes.

I'm not sure what the answer is as far as stay the course and hope they figure it out, trade DeAngelo for something and pretend it's a shakeup (since his name is out there), try and find some other random goalie and hope for better, scratches (still doubt this helps), move a popular role player like Marty, make a big move like the other Marty, small call up like Pono. I just don't know. I tend to think it'll be minor, if anything, but we'll see.

Kooch isn't helping, but you are right that the team in front of him isn't good enough. Our inability to do anything consistently on offense is absolutely killing us right now arguably moreso than the bad goals given up.

Welp, we doo doo butter at the moment. Shame to waste a couple of decent periods.

It was only the first that was good. The second Calgary controlled the play, which I initially chalked up to the long change and the Flames controlling the matchups.

But then the 3rd came around and Calgary still dominated possession and I realized "Oh, it's the Canes that aren't skating."

That's why I said decent and not good. Those two decent periods should have made for at least a point even still.

This team hates giving any of their prospects a chance they love to draft 15 a year and then never give them a chance instead ride with martinook who has zero goals and brick hands. We spent around 10 mill on staal bunting and fast and another 7 on orlov i think they could of used that money differently
