How do you even determine that? You are basically saying the ref thought the puck was frozen earlier then they announced it.

And all of this despite the fact the puck was loose the entire time.

The puck wasn't covered and the whistle wasn't blown. Why have replay if you aren't going to get that part of the play correct?

Dillon is a better breakout passer. Smith could not make an accurate pass to save his life, which was brutal for us

And is a lot more willing to fight than Smith.

For a serious answer, it was the fact the puck was under the goalie on the Devils goal and there was digging at it.

Refs almost always go “I blew that whistle” if they see the goalie has the puck under them and then it’s jostled out.

In this case I don’t think the goalie had control but that’s the difference.

At this point he's making it impossible to keep him off the 2026 team. If there's an injury on the left side he should also be the next guy up for this team. There's a few guys I think deserved to be on the team over Hanifin to begin with.
