I like Lazar but I’m going to be a little sad when Dowling is out of the lineup again. He’s gritty and has some nice speed.

not expecting too much from these 2 games, we’ve had a hard time getting to that elusive 4 game winning streak and Allen hasn’t been playing his best.

my hope is obviously getting 4 points here, but wouldn’t be surprised if we snagged only 1-2 points. carolina always plays us so well.

I’m not at all sold on him. Just a few weeks ago I was considering signing Allen for another year if it’s around what we’re giving him this year. But if were gonna get him for really cheap it probably means we won’t want him anyway, because he probably had a bad season.

As one of the biggest heel marks for Markstrom up until a week or two ago, I never thought Allen would maintain his play if he were getting as many starts as Markstrom.

Jake Allen has a history of being a not very good goalie when he’s been given the keys. That’s why Binnington happened.

Allen had a horrific playoffs against Minnesota one year and it sticks with me a bit. Still I'm ok with him as a backup especially on what looks like to be a sound defensive team infront of him.

That win was on a Thursday.

The true test only happen Friday-Sunday, so the prior win was meaningless, only tonight’s game can tell us anything.

Unless the Devils win, then tomorrow’s game will be the first chance to really prove themselves.

Honestly I don't think this is far off.
I get respecting Carolina, they are a good team, but they have been struggling for a bit here and not playing all that great hockey.

Meanwhile we have been playing great hockey.

Doesn't mean we can sleep walk here, team has to be ready to play, but this is a very winnable game.

Made it at least to the 2nd round 5 out of the last 6 years...and got to the Eastern Conference Finals 2 times in the last 6 years.
