1-2-3. Hattie. Zucc kicked his fluffer and takes care of his trade himself. Good riddance. Still a loss though.
 
I do love me a mean defenseman that can actually play.

I suspect that Quinn is partial to mean defensemen too, but I would offer my first-born to Hades to make sure that the "can actually play" part is also a pre-requisite for him. If Lindgren isn't good enough yet, but Quinn keeps him up even after we're healthy, then that will be disenchanting.

Even though they had some problems against CBJ like faceoffs, they worked hard in that game and scored 5 goals. What did Quinn do? He went to the media and called them a joke. Oh yeah...he's a coach for the future, players will love him.

They gave up 7. What do you want him to say? "I'm real proud of our boys that we could put up 5 big ones tonight. The 7 they put past us for being soft as baby **** in the corners and overall sloppy play doesn't mean much. A few bounces and this game could easily have been 7-5 in our favor and if we only give up 5 goals with this defense, I'm as proud as can be".

I thought Quinn was awesome because he played Psychologist with Zucc and broke him out of his funk while ignoring that almost all of his recent production has been flukey or just flat out bad goals that should be stopped by any goalie playing above the squirt level.
 
There is no rush for Gorton to deal Hayes or Zucc now. Everybody is just impatient and shook because you're watching these games hoping they develop and don't look like a turd but also lose. It's tough. Wait till deadline day when a handful of teams are desperate for an all-around C in Hayes having the year he is having and watch the bidding begin.

There kinda is a rush to sell them if the market is going to be oversaturated with sellers at the deadline.

I don’t think we are going to see any tires kicking till after the ASG break anyway. Right now they are just scouting teams and don’t see any moves till at least next month...could be wrong, but feels like the ball won’t drop till next month. But yeah, I agree, Hayes is having a great season, and just have to wait and see.

I think teams will be more desperate than the Rangers, who are in that “win now” mode and putting it all on the line. If the Rangers can get the return they want and it’s really good, go for it, don’t get too greedy, imo. Not sure how you feel about that.

The market is much more plentyful this year.

Hayes will have one whether they trade him now or a month from now. Zucc should go the second they get a half way decent offer.
