God, how did the refs miss that in the first place?
Please. Really, hard?
Incidental contact matters. The ref with the french accent even said it as he announced it was no goal. If the contact is incidental they arent giving you an interference call.So clearly I'm wrong, but I thought when these were reviewed as goaltender interference, that it's either a good goal, or interference and a penalty if the player isn't pushed in (which would be a goal?)
Did that change? I thought if you ruled it interference you had to give a minor with the no goal. Was that not the rule at one time?
Should be 4v4, how the hell do they miss that…
I haven’t been able to watch the replay on espn even with a vpn. Thinking of cancelling espn and getting cable :yikes:Bummed I may have to miss beginning of this game and only because of the switch to ESPN+... Have a flight delayed and by the time I get rental car and everything and make it to where I’m staying it’ll probably be 4:30-5ish. With nhl.tv in the past I could turn off scores and just start the game from the beginning but ESPN decided to take a step back from the system that was already in place. Really annoying
Fixed.Frontrunning Los Angeles fans are revolting
They havent thought about it in weeks. The issue is null and void at this point, and has been for awhile. It never mattered to them to the level youve made it out to be though imo. To us its a coaching choice more than an asset protection one. If Rod wants him it doesnt matter what the front office thinks, and Rod came out of camp clearly thinking he belonged. Even if he didnt play him until injuries allow it. Thats what Rod does with vets, he is reluctant to sit one for a kid when he knows the kid is going to get in at the first injury anyways. Waddell was always going to defer to Rod on the decision, regardless of FA issues down the road.Yes. Deciding to burn an ELC year is always difficult. Doesn't matter how good the player in question is. Do you see who's up for UFA in 3 seasons?! I still think that they keep him.
That was my point. It wasn't incidental.Incidental contact matters. The ref with the french accent even said it as he announced it was no goal. If the contact is incidental they arent giving you an interference call.
He wasnt pushed in so to me its not remotely incidental but thats not the way these get called.
Oh well in this case that guy is awesome. Crypto.com Arena or whatever is what is actually revolting. But I won't open that can worms myself.
The player didnt make any obvious move or change route to make sure he made contact, he just continued his route which allows the ref and everyone to play dumb and say he didnt mean to do it when you know he chose that route intentionally and therefore should be responsible for the contact the route caused. I agree with you. That was my point. It wasn't incidental.
