GDT: Hurricane coming to Ottawa 7pm

Didn't see that coming, but after a great start, some shaky goaltending & made a surprising comeback for the win is all that matters. Good to go into the playoffs with a comeback win, but they need to tighten up defensively & Ullmark needs to be better.

It's a night for all the players to take a mental breather before the playoffs. I don't read anything, good or bad, into tonight's game. Glorified pond hockey, fun to watch be not real like Sunday will be.

Feels like he had a concussion which kept him out for a couple weeks.

He didn't look all there during his intermission interview.

I am probably high and overthinking it.
I know nothing whatsoever, but nothing has appeared to me that it’s a concussion. I figured it was more mid body. Who knows though.

Can't wait to see Brady, Chabby and Drake in playoff games ... been a long time coming for the boys ! Go Sens Go !!
Yessir. I have never seen Hot Chabot look as good. He really hit his stride with Jensen as his Methot. Bathman has hit his prime to, loved that him and Cozens with Zetterlund in the 3rd.

Ullmark will be fine, glad it was in a meaningless game.

What stood out for me was, this was a nothing game, this game had no purpose.. but the Sens didn’t think that way…

Up 3-0
Down 5-3
Win 7-5

This game showed me that this team is serious. This wasn’t just a nothing game to them.. this was a message..

To add: I’m watching the replay.. this crowd was great. It was loud in the building.. there was just such a vibe tonight

..and the cih podcast was trying to make the case that Highmore vs Zetterlund for the last forward spot in game 1 is a legitiment debate.. lolz

I hate it when they try to force narratives like that. Highmore is a scrub and a career AHLer, nothing more.

Jesus Christ, are you serious? Who the hell made that case?

Ullmark's glove was rough for the first 30 minutes but in the final 30 minutes I felt he was fine and he made a few solid glove saves.

I guess that's why you play him in game 82.

We also played Carolina's north-south speed game most of the night which was the opposite of what Green seems to want this team to do where we play a slower, heavier game.

We'll see how these guys react in the playoffs.

Drake Batherson sounds like a stoned chad every interview
Ya, no... Ya, no.... Ya, no... He's saying that, not "ya know?" He begins every damn sentence with it! It's almost as annoying as frigging gratuitous LIKE every 3rd word. Unfortunately, once you hear that (and it is pointed out to you by some asshole in a forum ;-) you will never unhear it! ;-)

Btw - in the old days Jacques Martin started every sentence with "No doubt..." Became fingernails on a blackboard after a time. Oh well... Human nature is very musing to witness at times.

So I think we’re seeing a new second line of the future here with Zetter slotting in. He has some of the DP board skills, but is fast and drives the net. They looked good.

Gaud had a good game and shows his value. Having a guy who can snipe/score on the 4th line along with Cousins and either Zett or DP is something that has to be dealt with, not throw away minutes.

Just finished catching up on the game.

That final goal from Jimmy was a thing of beauty. He's gotten hot at the right time and it's super exciting coming into the playoffs. 7 points in his final 3 games.

Drake "ya no" Batherson is on a hell of a streak. He's the perfect example of a functioning stoner
