I think you're right about concussion which certainly didn't help. Kind of crazy that he went from catching over 100 passes while being known as 3rd and Renfrow in 2021 to being out of the league by 2024.

What got him was that the WR that JM and Zeigler brought in with them in 2022, Adams and Myers, their preferred route tree overlapped with where Renfrow works best. Adams can do deep, but he can work the entire field. Myers is more intermediate, as was their TE group. Didn't have anyone stretching the field. Not going to keep running go routes with Adams.

It was embarrassing on that 4th down play in KC down a point where Adams and Renfrow ran into each other and thus lost the game.

Individually, all of the WR were good. But, as a collection, too much overlap in their skillset. But, Josh had that in NE with that trio of slots in Edelman, Hogan, Amendola. All basically the same guy.

Add in the concussions, and his time was up. It seemed on paper going in that Renfrow would be the next in that line of slot guys for JM.
