Cool stuff , hope it works out for him, even if it’s just Saturday night pickup , nothing else in the world matters when your on the ice , with everything the lad has been through he definitely deserves the ability to have that escape .

Wassermann is a former Humboldt Bronco who was left a paraplegic as a result of the Humboldt Broncos bus tragedy. He emerged from his injury with his competitive and inquisitive nature intact, and he’s met challenges with a remarkable strength and vigour. Wassermann turned to the sport of adaptive water skiing and worked hard to master its demands. He excelled in competition throughout the past few years. With the cold Saskatchewan winters, Wasserman and his rowing teammates are confined to indoor machines, but his goal, once the waters open, is to get out and challenge himself and others in the outdoor sport.

This year’s work at the Broncos Memorial Crash Site Project, was completed last week. Thanks to Kurt Leicht for taking the lead on this construction project and to the other parents Carol, Ed and Bernie from the memorial committee for your steadfast dedication to the project. Thanks to Kirsch Construction for finishing the pathways and parking lot at the site and buttoning things up for winter. Also thanks to Westcrete for the concrete work, Catterall & Wright for your design and engineering and all of the other donors for your generous contributions. Also thanks to the many volunteers who put in time and effort for this. Pavement and grass will be completed next year, doesn’t it look amazing?
