Hrricanes Lounge XLVII: The return to obeying Rhules

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

    Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

My only Temu purchase was a couple of hockey jerseys. One Hanson Johnstown Chiefs and one Shore Sudbury Blueberry Bulldogs. They were dirt cheap and surprisingly high quality. Cheap as in twenty bucks so I'm willing to give it a shot cheap. I expected sublimated but i got fully sewn, quality stuff.

Looks like you have to send your most recent receipt to SniperHF to get your sponsorship back. Unfortunate for people who delete their emails when inbox space becomes an issue.

Oh well, I get so much more than $12 of value from this site every year, I'll pay again.

I knew my tendency to never delete any email ever would come in handy eventually.

Temu is awful. Bad experiences the couple of times I tried. A lot of scammy junk.

Ali, however, is wonderful. Just about everything I've bought there has met my expectations or overdelivered. Chinese companies are getting far better at making things for both domestic and export markets under their own or nonsense brands that are good quality, and you can also access high end chinese stuff there. I got a nice groupset for a bike there that was very much on par with comparable Shimano offerings, but substantially cheaper (still a few hundred bucks, mind you). There do seem to be a lot of things offered for similar prices on both platforms, but Ali does a far better job than Temu at filtering out the scammers.
