Doesn't really take a constitutional law expert to interpret one of the most straightforward sentences in the Constitution.

Trump is full of shit on this one, and he's gonna lose -- but I'm sure he knows he's gonna lose. And this is the thing that people continually get wrong about Trump. The outrageous thing he says he wants -- well, if he can get it, great, but it's always always always the starting point of the negotiation, and it's always provocative so it's easier for him to get what he actually wants.

China, Russia: you want a world where everyone takes what they want? Fine, we'll take Panama and Greenland.
I don't know "Shall not be infringed" causes them enough issues.

This is simply one of many distractions they want people to focus on while they setup the Gov to rob everyone blind.

yuuup..... And everyone is hoping there are legal challenges to the 14th EO so it can go to the scotus which is leaning originialist.

But then again, one thought train thinks the 14th codifies birth tourism, and that the 2a pretains to muskets. The other is originalist, and thinks the 2A pretains to "all bearable arms" and that the 14th was intended to deal with slavery.

Let people stand and die on a hill of birth tourism with the immigration situation, and that being about half of what won the presidency. Keep NOT learning.

Sure, at this point, go for it.

No surprise there. In his first term Trump said he should get more then 2 terms in office. When he was reelected and before even taking office he told members of congress that they needed to figure out a way to get him another term. He's a huge admirer of Orban and Putin, who have effectively turned nascent democracies into what are essentially dictatorships. And Jan 6 was just the tip of the iceberg in Trump's machinations to stay in power despite losing the 2020 election. Maybe I'm naïve but I'm less worried about a constitutional amendment to extend the term limit than some other means to stay in power. Trump just declared a national energy emergency to expand his powers despite there actually being none. Who knows what he'll try in 2028; maybe declaring martial law?
 
Jan 6 was his “martial law” play. He was going to get his supporters riled up, Pence was going to be killed, and he was going to declare martial law to stay in power because of it. It was all spelled out in the Jan 6 report that no longer matters because he was elected.

That’s why he was literally telling people at his rallies that he needed to win or he’d be going to jail.

Trump just declared a national energy emergency to expand his powers despite there actually being none.

The minute Canada shuts off power, oil and gas imports as a reaction to the tariffs, there will be. He's just getting out ahead of the storm.
