How would you have preferred Ovechkin score #895?

Would you rather that he scored #895 in the Blackhawks game, as an empty net goal to complete the hat trick; or the way things actually unfolded, with an iconic wrister from his office, but in another team's arena?

An ENG even if it was for a hat trick would just be a cheap way. If he got the hat trick and it was goal 893 or 896 then it wouldn’t have mattered.

I would say the way he did it was pretty cool because it was game 1487, exact amount of games in Gretzky’s career. It was also on April. 6th, the day he was drafted, and against the Islanders, who Gretzky had his last goal against.

Still though, there was no guarantee he scored that game and if I were him I would’ve went for the Hat trick

Empty net, no hatrick...Another player shoots the puck, it bounces off Ovies helmet and into the empty net..That's how I would have preferred it.
