Those guys are unicorns. Size, snarl, can fight + Actual talent. Drafting for that tends to end up in wasted draft picks.

I think Blake and Yannetti did address that issue somewhat this draft.

They did take Byfield over Stutzle arguably choosing size over skill.

Grans will be massive even if he is more of an offensive presence.

they traded for a gritty prospect in Andersson when they know they are already overloaded with center prospects

they drafted a big hitter in Meehan even if he is a long shot.

tbe good thing is we can let other teams develop players to as we now have the assets to go out and trade with once our team matures and knows what holes will need filled. It’s still early in this process and we have a ton of potential but not at the point where we are comfy saying they are for sure NHL players. Over the next 2 years we will see a more accurate depiction of what we have, what we need and what other teams will make available. We will also have the luxury of another higher draft slot and the money to spend in UFA.
