In 2018 I wanted to trade down if we got another 1st and take Boqvist, now he's on waivers. Looks like I whiffed on that one. Not that I wouldn't mind taking a shot on him for free since he's a young RD.
Yeah I wanted Boqvist over KK.. I wasn't hitting well in that draft. Didn't want Tkachuk, liked Hughes but not as much as Boqvist.
A lot of players that started out well tailed off. Hopefully that won't be the case for Dobes, Kapanen, and Roy...
Dach will need to step up his game and makes around 50/60 points as a real 2nd centerman to make this trade a win for Montreal.I don't agree. I'd rather have Dach than Romanov. Dach's had injuries that have messed things up a bit but going forward would you really rather have Romanov than Dach?

Since Romanov is playings for the Islanders, he is a physical dman playing on the first pairing. Brings a lot of hits, a lot of blocks shots, a positive ratio, and around 25 points/year. Imo, he is the kind of 3rd dman on a contender team while Dach is currently playing as a 3rd line centerman wich is less important to me, than what Romanov brings for the Islanders.
When healthy that’s what he’s done. Solid physical player and can handle 2nd line duties. His only problem has been staying healthy.Dach will need to step up his game and makes around 50/60 points as a real 2nd centerman to make this trade a win for Montreal.
I’d rather have Dach but it’s not a slam dunk. Injuries have gotten in the way. Romanov needs to come home. I am still pissed Habs traded him away. This was not a good trade. Dach, it feels, won't become that coveted #2 center. Romy can hit and brings it.Romanov isn't playing above Guhle or Hutson on the Habs. They made the right trade and Dach would've been close to 50 pts in year one without the injuries, and obviously this year has been recovering from the one he suffered last year. So, it was the right trade to make, a great target, the right surplus defender to move.. we just have to hope that with a full year under his belt, a good off-season of training and some confidence, Dach will come back in next year and provide what he was looking to provide already in year 1 of the trade.
