IMO we should sell everybody 25+ that has an expering contract.

Nieto, Acciari, Beauvilier, Shea, Graves, Ned sold or waived.

Get the AHL guys up, Bremstrom, Koivunen, Katchouk, Ponomarev, Ruter, Hollwell, Clurman, Pickering and Larson deserve to be up IMO.

Lets shake it up and see who has real potential.

I would love to trade Crosby since the return should be 2 oder even 3 first rounders. We need that to be able to pick earlier and more often. Same goes for Rust and Rakell.

Malkin in no more than a 3C IMO because of his lack to play D. If he returns a frist (Washington maybe) that would be cool. I would guess he would love to go to Ovi, too.

For me it's pretty simple, everyone on the roster should be available except for Sid and Geno unless both want out. Yes, I would ask them if they want to stay or go and if they wish to leave, accommodate them in a trade.

Obviously any of the younger players on the roster like Pickering, Tomasino or Blom are not going anywhere

My take: trade anyone who doesn't have a full NTC, as those prevent getting any sort of reasonable value for them - they're better off just keeping them (Crosby, Malkin, Letang), unless they make it known they want to go.

I left Rust off my vote, because I wouldn't trade him until his NTC goes away, because there's no way they're getting any sort of value while he still has that. Once his NTC goes away, all bets are off, though.

Karlsson may have a full NMC, but I suspect he'd be willing to waive for pretty much any contender, so trade him if you can. That said, I'd be hesitant to retain much, since he's got two more years left. I'd rather keep retention slots open to be able to use the cap space to acquire assets from cap-strapped teams. That said, if the offer is high enough, well, that's what I wanted to use the cap space for anyway.

I‘m surprised so many want to keep a few parts of the band together.

After yesterdays loss I would try to rebuild completley.

Nieto and Co should not block out our WBS guys IMO.

How much worse could those young guns be.

(I had voted for every single option but went back to change it to how I actually feel)

It's of my opinion that the 4th line should only have one "anchor" player -- Lizotte I guess in this instance(?). Let the young players battle it out for ice time. Then maybe let one space open on the 3rd line.

I mean, that's how it should be.

What do you think we'll get for 87/71/58? I feel they won't return shit anymore. The opportunity left on those, so might as well use em for marketing.

Under no circumstances : Sid and Geno

Available, but unlikely until the offseason : Karlsson, Letang, Rust (due to NMC)

Available, but the offer has to be right : Rakell, Bunting, Tomasino, Blomqvist

Available and don't f*** it up Dubas : Pettersson, Ned

Yes, please, we'll take anything : everybody else currently on the NHL roster

That's the thing. Sid would have tremendous value if you could trade him to any team. But that value and whatever value the other 2 have would be severely hampered by their full NMCs.

I feel the Pens need to keep Rakell Sid Rust. If nothing else give Sid his line. At least for one more season after this.
Geno wont leave and is going to finish here and if Russia is allowed in the Olympics then i can see him signing a 1 year contract to stay with the Pens.
Letang well he is never going to leave and will be the first NHL player to use a walker on the ice.

Ned i keep him unless you get a good offer cause i dont feel any of the younger guys are ready and dont want to ruin them with Sully.

Petterson, Bunting, Karlsson i would be on the phone right now trying to trade.

I really do not want to bring up anyone from WBS because i know Sully will ruin them so let them all stay there this season and take a run into the playoffs and get that experience.

I wonder if Sully will just get sick of losing here and cant stomach a rebuild will want to get fired so he can move on.

You need to keep 4/5 guys together to keep the top line going.

No to Crosby, Malkin, Rust, Rakell and Letang.

Yes to everyone else.

Also, for those suggesting bringing up all the young guys (even this year) the cap floor does exist.

This year it is 65.0 and next year somewhere around 68.0/69.0, maybe a bit more if the cap gets to 97.0 which it will be 71.7

By next October the team should've dealt Petts, Rust, Rakell, Bunting, and EK. No attachment to Letang either tbh.

Nobody else has any value (some of the aforementioned probably don't have much to begin with) or they're cemented in place until they decide to initiate a move (Sid and Geno).

But first and foremost, replace the goddamn coach. Not because it'll fix anything in the here and now, but because Sullivan *cannot* be allowed to mold the game of the next chapter of core prospects. Shit, I don't even want him influencing the picks at the draft table in June. Fire him the moment the season ends.
