How much will O'Reilly win in arbitration?

6M over 7 is a great contract. If Bergeron is making 6.5M over 8 years (and let's be honest, Bergeron is a much better version of ROR) he should take that deal and run with it.

Not many statistics support the much better part of that sentence. But I agree. At the very most 6.5 Long term is something he should be more than extatic over when he looks around the league.

I hope he can be there one day, but I just don't see it. O'Reilly may be one of my favorite players, so I may be too biased, but I see him as this generation's Hejduk. He isn't quite as fast, but his goal scoring and elite level thinking of the game is just as good.

He's this generation's Drury. Great player in every facet with plenty of fabled intangibles. Decides to hold out 'cause he thinks he's Peter freaking Forsberg and will end up in New York when Sather backs an armored car full of cash up to his house and he becomes a punchline in poor cap management jokes.

The comfort I draw from this is that I don't like any of our depth/throw in guys as much as I liked Yelle, so it won't hurt as much when Dolla Bill O'Reilly gets traded to Calgary with someone like Cliche.

I'm not going to lie, I'm excited for tomorrow. I'll either have this face :D or this face :shakehead.

Now Dater admits he took down the blog because the Avs didn't like it AND because he finally realized he was wrong in presenting the "cheap" angle.

Can't we just have normal reports on things other teams report on over the summer like new players, prospects and such? Why is it always As the World Turns?

I don't have much faith that this would happen either way but is it possible for the two sides to get an extension done after the hearing before the arbitrators verdict is in?

IF they agree on a new contract , chances are that it will happend minutes b4 the hearing . That's usually what happend , they agree on a new deal b4 the point of no return.

Lets face it, if they go into the arbitration process it's gonna be ugly for both side . We're already taking for granted that right now , both side dont see eachother eye to eye . Imagine how the relation will turn out after the hearing ...

$6m. He led the Avs in goals, and forwards in ice time. He won an award too.

Nice to see professionalism is alive and well in the world of journalism.
