Not saying you, but since it's now happened 30 years ago and the younger crowd is moving in, its funny how little people mention that Mario scored 85 and how little known it is that Brett Hull upped him with 86 in a lower scoring season.Oof you're totally right, I must have been thinking of another record.
Scoring was still up in 90-91 VS the past few seasons (6.8 goals per game then vs. 6.05 now, so 12.5% higher) , but that Brett Hull scored 86 goals that year, and the next closest was 35 behind at 51 doesn't get talked about enough. 69% more goals than the 2nd leading goal scorer. Adam Oates an absolute apple tree that year, too.
