How many times do you fart in one day?

I often wonder how many times does the average human pass gas from the rectum. I counted today and realized I farted 9 times today, and about 7 of them came after work. I guess it also depends on the meal, cause I did have tacos for dinner.

After reading through the replies to this thread it reminds me of a tale of my youth.

Long ago in a middle school, there was a boy who had troubles with farting, but mostly it only happened while exercising. One day, the gym teacher told the students to do line drills and all the students begun moaning, then teacher even added a twist to include sit-ups along with the running. There the boy went running with all his might, his belly flopping up and down at the speed of light. When he went down to do a sit-up his cheeks extended, releasing the gas that he wanted to be helded. When he looked to the right, a face of a girl was filled with fright. The boy then ran away crying, while the other kids started pointing and laughing.
