How many teams would Thomas Harley be a #1D on?

Not sure why you are laughing.

Dallas' opponents have scored more goals with Harley on the ice than they have allowed.

The Wild's opponent scored less goals with Faber on the ice than they allowed.

Those are both facts. You may not like them, but they are facts. Are you confused as to what a fact is? That's fine if you are. In fact, (no pun intended) your posts would make a lot more sense if that were the case.
“My oPiniOn iS FacT, aLsO fOr sOmOnE wHo LiKeS tO uSE tHe wOrD FACTS…”

lol.

That’s great dude, congrats on having an opinion and absolutely losing your shit over someone else’s 😂
Nah, don't roach out now. You keep spamming that you have all this concrete data, and now it's "hur dur it's just my opinion man".

Which is it?

As a Dallas fan, I think Harley could be a #1, his growth since Miro went down has been huge, but I don't think he's quite there yet. We def have missed Miro as the #1, despite how good Harley has been. Harley plays with a completely different confidence than he showed previously though, and I think next season is when we judge how good he really is. IMO he should be the number 1 guy on the PP even over Miro next season, though I do expect Miro to bounce back offensively after a fairly poor year. But if he is, I think you could see even better offensive numbers. I think he can be a true #1, but I think he's still got some improvements to make to get there.

Why do you keep saying this when Harley has a worse 5v5 xGF% than Faber this playoffs?
Did I? Where?

In any case, you’re cherry picking hard to highlight a 1.1% difference 😂

Faber: 52.4%
Harley: 51.3%

WOOOW, I didn’t realize Faber had such a massive advantage. You’re right, that 1.1% difference totally makes up for the giant goose egg Faber put up, AGAIN.

Just like you have an opinion and got emotionally damaged every time when called out. see how easy that's??
Dude, I’m not the one slinging kindergarten level insults repeatedly over hockey opinions online. That’s you. So who’s the emotionally damaged one here? 😂

Nope. You quoted me first, and you lashed out with petty insults several times. I only criticized your opinion and the way you went about expressing it. Big difference.
That't not all you did. You literally couldn't admit you were ever wrong. Throwing a hissy fit because you were called out and not able to accept your player wouldn't be number one in MN. lol dude then went on to say Faber suck and is trash. so who started crap? exactly

I didn’t throw a fit, curse, or call you names or sling any petty insults - that was all you. Nowhere in the rules does it say I must admit I was wrong because @Hockeyfan200 says so. Get over yourself. The rules do say that flaming is not allowed though, which you are guilty of multiple times in this exchange.

You’re the one that continued to claim that Faber got caved in defensively and had worse possession metrics buddy.

He did, and does. You pointing to a 1.1% difference in a single cherry-picked statistical category doesn’t change that.

@Spurgeon

Let’s see how objective you are willing to be then.

Head to head this playoffs in your precious 5-on-5 xGF%:

Brock Faber: 52.4%
Lane Hutson: 61.3%

Hutson played on a worse team, and played against an arguably better opponent, so you can’t use that excuse. He likewise logged heavy minutes against the other team’s top lines. He was also p/gp, as opposed to Faber’s goose egg.

If Faber is a #1D, what does that make Hutson?

Thank you as a Stars fan as well; what’s going on with this thread haha.

I agree he should be the #1 PP QB, he’s proved it. He’s had some turnovers, weaker on the glass, etc. defending at times but like you said next season we’ll see who he is.

Using the test of would I take Harley right now over a team's current best D, the yeses are: ANA, CHI, DET, EDM, FLA, MTL, NJ, NYI, NYR, PHI, PIT, SEA, TOR, UTA

So nearly half the league. We got a similar answer, and that number is only going to grow as he gets better

Harley is a beast, but so is Lane Hutson
Hutson just got 66 points, and will most likely win the Calder Trophy this year. I think he's better than Harley IMO (it's nothing against Harley, I'd take him to play with Hutson if possible lol)

10/32, so less than a 1/3. If you give him all the maybes, which is not at all clear-cut, it’s 16/32. He’s an average to high end #2 as it stands right now.
Weird math: if you rank someone to be 1D on 16 teams, that would make him an average #1, not #2. Unless of course you believe there are at least 16 equally capable #2s in the other teams, or something.

I value Harley very high and I still think he is underrated. He is a top 10 D-man in the NHL in my eyes. He is better than Fox, Carlson, Morrissey, Sergachev, Sanderson, Dobson, Doughty etc.

Over Seider, Bouchard and Dahlin among others? Lol that seems very biased

exactly. Plus the media has openly talked about how Dallas D isn't the same without Miro because he's better on D than Harley. They even talked about how Thomas Harley can't be a #1

Wtf.... I don't care about your guys rant about which Dman is better.

But, stop with this Harley BS. No one in Dallas has talked about Harley not being a #1. All the talk has been about how he's been the teams MVP since Miro went down.

I would be surprised to find anyone in Dallas who thinks different. Harley has been nothing but amazing since we lost Miro. Without his play we wouldn't be where we are right now in the playoffs
