Connor Bedatd had 61 points. I can see Matvai NOT coming close to that. If he ends up with 40 that would be a very solid season.
He was 18, played only 68 games and was playing with plugs. IMO 50 is realistic for Michkov.

spends most of the year in the ahl should be an option
Why would he come to NA to play in the AHL?

Gonna be hard to top 60 just with the lack of supporting cast and transition. He’ll be dominating the league in no time after that, though.

considering it’s Torts and Philly has a bottom 5 offense, I would be fine if he scores 60, but wouldn’t be surprised if it’s less

I think he'll pace for around 65 points if he's given enough leash from Torts (big assumption, but I think there will be pressure on Torts to do so). I don't think that far behind Bedard offensively and he should have a better supporting cast.

Tortorella's history with young offensive players isn't too bad actually. PLD had 20g 48p as a 19 year old rookie in Columbus. And 20 year old Wennberg had 40p in 69gp during Tortorella's first year in Columbus. If those guys can have some success as young guys with Torts, I think Michkov should be fine. And he wouldn't be the first smallish Russian winger to have success under Torts (Panarin).

Michkov will be have an age advantage; next season will be his 20-year-old season, same as Ovechkin and Malkin when they were rookies. So he should be ready to go.

I expect him to get about 65 points on that team being a 19-20 year old rookie.

I'm gonna say 60-70 points but closer to the 65-75 range. We're talking about the best Russian prospect since Ovechkin and Malkin here.. and he's playing in a higher scoring era than either of them.

Yeah, I’ll save predictions until we see him play an NHL game. Big question marks with this guy. I’d be surprised if he comes in with anything similar to Bedard who was already adjusted to NA ice and style of play, and underwent no culture shock or separation from family.

Most KHL teams use NHL rink sizes

Lol... considering Michkov was always seen as an equal or better offensive player than Bedard AND being a year older his rookie season I would say he should outscore Bedards rookie season

"I'm a hater" should also be
