Depends on what line he ends up on. I really hope he plays with Zib. If so, I could see him putting up 50 points. As far as goals vs. assists, I don't think it matters. I'm very happy with a guy who puts up a bunch of assists.

Based on preseason, I could see 25-30 goals. If he gets meaningful PP time with proper line mates, it could be 28-33.

He's too unselfish to ever become a big goal scorer..I see him in the 20-25 range providing he gets the opportunity

Last year Kakko had the best goals per game of his career, but this was based on his career best shooting percentage. His shots per game were actually the 3rd worst of his career. He will absolutely need to shoot more if he's going to get more goals. Getting shots on the PP will help for sure, but he'll need more at EV as well.

He only had 125 shots last year. To hit 30 goals:

ShotsShooting Percentage
15020
17517.14
20015
22513.33
250.12

His career best shooting percentage is 14.4%, and his career average is 11.7%.

He will need at least 200 shots to hit 30 goals. More ice time, both on the PP and 5 on 5, along with more of a shooting mentality and staying healthy, can get him there.

His shot has looked better than ever this preseason. So at this point it comes down to line combinations and systems. For all we know, scoring may decline across the board, simply because our guys don’t work well with PL’s north-south game, or because the systemic adjustment takes up a large chunk of the season. Similarly, it’s hard to judge save percentages without looking at the area from which KK took the shots.

I’m not refuting your points by any means; just a few corollaries. :)
