How long to wait after Baking skates

You should wait 24 hours before skating on them.

I would definitely not chance skating on them within 6 hours.

What are the possible consequences?

well if the mold isnt finished cooling you risk

- losing the shape of the mold
- excessive flexing of the boot, which will result in premature wear
- loss of shape and performance

not worth the risk my man

24 hrs is just to be completely safe. Given that you paid a lot of money for a very heat mouldable boot, it would be sensible to wait at least that long.

Shouldn't be risky; I assume the skates will be in a static state in the car ride home without being exposed to extreme temperatures. I would keep your skates in an upright position in the fridge for about an hour. Have them cool (warm?) naturally at room temperature until your game. Should be alright, but the safest way will always be to wait 24 hrs.

Cool thanks man! Just put them in!

its not about cooling them, its about letting the mold set. its not worth it to try and fast track it, just suck it up and wait 24 hours
