He - a 22-year old defenseman - has 9(!) goals in 29 games. Is he just making the most of playing for Peter DeBeor? Does the rest of his game hold up? Is he the type of player Dallas should lock up?

He's been noticeable whenever I've seen him play. Not Norris-level dynamic but definitely top 4 with potential to move higher up.

Smart player with good tools. For a 18OA pick that seems like a great result from selection, to development, to transitioning to the NHL.

I only really watch western Canadian teams highlights but every time I see the Stars play there is play with Harley doing something good. He's a noticeably good defenceman and any team in the league would love to have him in their lineup. I know I'd love him on the Nucks.

Definitely not a name I expected to see amongst the leaders in goals by a blueliner this season, but he's been red hot this season and stepped up huge when Heiskanen got hurt earlier.

Think he may still be the only d-man who's managed to score at least one powerplay, shorthanded and overtime goal this season. And he's done that last one three times already.

Kid is an absolute stud out there.

Harley has blossomed into one of the best defensemen in the league this year. He was already having a great year but since Heiskinen has been out and he's had to be the Stars #1 defenseman:

14 GP, 5 Goals, 11 Assists, 16 Points, 25:18 TOI

That's, league-wide:

T-2 in points
T-2 in goals
7 in TOI

He was already a stud, but I think some were reticent to put Harley in a class with the other top young defensemen in the league due to the presence of Heiskinen being "the guy". I think we can put that to bed now that we are seeing what Harley is capable of with Heiskinen out. He's a star #1D on his own. He is most definitely in that Seider/Sanderson/Faber class for me.

He looks great and obviously looked great on Canada too. My curiosity is what would he look like on a one lne team where he doesnt have a 75% chance of playing with studs like he does in Dallas since they are so deep.

I'd offer to take him on the Canucks so we can find out, but unfortunately we don't even have one scoring line in Vancouver :(
