How good are Devin Shore's intangibles?

He does have nice offence. Just not at NHL level. He would be a top scorer in AHL or Europe. In NHL he has to be a reliable bottom 6 option. I'm impressed he is still in NHL! Good job.

More shocking to me is he is only 30.

He just seemed like a vet when he came to Edmonton. Which I guess is kind of good if you have that maturity at such a young age.

Tell me more about him. Sounds like he's a lot like Boyd Gordon, who was a black hole offensively for the Coyotes, skated hard, was great in his own zone, and absolutely amazing at killing penalties. One of my favorite memories of him, which is also one of my favorite Coyotes memories, was when he blocked a hard shot on a penalty kill, with the puck hitting him right in the... uh... "midsection," but we were unable to clear the zone. Just seconds later, the puck came up to the point and he very, very bravely blocked another hard shot from the point man. He had to be helped off the ice once play finally stopped, with quite the ovation from the crowd.
Boyd Gordon f***ing ruled, he was the Caps' entry into the new type of grinder and love him to death for it, dude paved the way for Jay Beagle and now Nic Dowd to shine and I love that he has love with other teams.
