Obviously a hypothetical but not much else to talk about for the next week or so.

If Edmonton manages to squeak out a game 2 victory where does the series go from there? It was already a massive momentum boost when Perry tied the game with under 20 seconds left, and if Edmonton someone pulls out the OT win for a 2 game lead going to Florida, how do you think the rest of the series would have gone? Would have been enough momentum for Edmonton to continue rolling or does Florida come out, take both at home and we end up where we ended up.

Florida wouldn't even have let game 4 get to OT then

I still think Florida comes back and wins the series. Maybe it takes 7, but they'd get it done. Those guys are a model of consistency in the playoffs, and Edmonton couldn't sustain the effort it took to put down Florida.

There's the whole will vs skill debate. Florida doesn't give a f*** cuz they've clearly got both

Still lose. Its a miracle they made it to the finals again with this poorly constructed team. 3 years in a row and ill concede.

Edmonton was never winning this series. They would not even make the playoffs in the Atlantic division.

Probably doesn’t matter. Florida was the better team in this series no doubt. A healthy Ekholm and Hyman might have been enough of a difference, but even then it’s unlikely Edmonton can overcome the goaltending discrepancy in the series.
