Curious how everyone watches the Oilers games on TV. I subscribed to SN Now yesterday since I don't have cable but the app is unreliable, choppy, and low quality. The only reason I would even consider cable is due to the low quality stream. I am on wifi so that might be making it worse, tried on apple TV and Chromecast, Apple TV app crashes constantly unfortunately. Looking for tips or recommendations.

I have telus sat tv so watch on that... otherwise use the streaming app that I assume most use and that has some really high quality video.

SN now used to be good but now it's atrocious. I've been complaining about it on here, twitter, and reddit.

Too bad there's not a site that you could go to that lists a ton of streaming options for sports when you get the urge. An adblocker would probably be needed to make that site useable though.

Stuck playing for cable until the NHL finally gets with the times and offers 1080p 60fps streaming service (at minimum).

720p 30fps is insulting, and is the only reason I have cable still.

I would miss the ability to record games

They offer on demand games 24 hours after its live, as well as “quick” replay of it on nhl live. Unfortunately the stream quality is garbage.

The world is moving away from cable, yet somehow the NHL refuses to adapt.

I also flinched and got SN now yesterday. Kept getting an error message for the Leafs/Habs game but finally got in by the 2nd period. Was pretty decent after that.

Now the Oilers game, I was buffering like crazy. I think it's just SN Now being terrible as I have fibre optics with Ethernet cable hookup so there should be no buffering whatsoever. Considering going back to cable even though I don't watch anything else besides hockey.

I tried watching with SN Now, but it's the biggest piece of shit app I've ever used. Constantly crashes, logs me out, sound doesn't work, too many devices etc... So now I pirate, and I don't feel bad about it at all.

And the pirate streams are miles better.

I'm willing to pay for the games, but if I can get better by stealing, Sportsnet can eat my ass

Does the Sportsnet Now app let you watch Oilers games in Alberta or is it blacked out?

Is it the same app as the one used when you have Sportsnet on cable? If so, it was complete ass

People need to STOP sending money to Sportsnet and/or Rogers. It's not just that they are shit companies that give Oilers fans the shaft over and over. It's that their products suck. No f***in surprise SN Now sucks ball. Go get your refunds and never again with this company.
