Why were people picking Vegas?

The Oilers winning seemed obvious atleast to me because, McDavid and Draisaitl alone...... control and tilt the ice possession wise almost every playoff game you watch them.

That's the huge benefit of 2 elite C's

They finished 3rd in the league in points and comfortably led in regulation wins. They are still a good team, despite the loss. I can see the appeal on why people would pick them. A mostly healthy Oilers team was still a bit of a mystery going into the playoffs.

A respectable 3/4 with 0/4 on total numbers of games needed, after going 6/8 in R1

I'm gonna call Florida in 7 and - just f*** me - Edmonton in 6 setting up a Cup Final rematch.

Florida again takes the Cup but this time in 6, Bobrovsky putting a raised stamp on his HoF ticket with the Conn Smythe.

My predictions are fine!

The only thing is that I thought Colorado COULD have knocked out Dallas in round 1 - but it was pretty darn close .

Everything else was according to plan.

I also predicted Edmonton vs Florida in the finals and that Edmonton will be the new champions !
