I think he do a Jagr, one year at a time. Wich is wise.Does a 40 year old Crosby chase one last cup after his extension ends? That's probably asking a lot.
If he finishes at under 620 this season will need 40 goal production the next 2 seasons. So unlikely to hit 700 before the end of the extension. This must be his worst ever goal scoring pace in a season with 11 goals in 40 games.
He will need to play beyond his new two year deal if he wants to hit 700.
Either way I don't see him scoring close to 40 goals for his age 38 and age 39 seasons. If he finishes at under 620 this season will need 40 goal production the next 2 seasons. So unlikely to hit 700 before the end of the extension.
top 6He currently sits at 603 half way through this season with a much lower pace than the 42 he scored last season. He has a 2 year extension starting next season and will likely be around 70-75 goals away from 700. Can he do it? Would 700 solidify him in the top 5 of all time?
