a lot of people like myself cares, after many years of no cup and we finally win only to hear that the only reason we won is because of covid and a shortened schedule makes the win less rewarding.

That only happens if you go seek out their opinions on the main boards and if they bother you, then don't do it.

For me, I couldn't care less what they say or think. If we'd won the cup and I knew we deserved it, that's all that matters to me.

To be honest last year's cup wouldn't be truly deserved because of the divisions and shortened season. It was the easiest route to the finals, no Boston, Tampa Bay, all we needed to do is beat Winnipeg who because of a suspension was handicapped with their best player gone. Think about it Vegas was the only good team to beat to make it to the finals.

I think we've pretty much covered it, agree to disagree I guess. I think I've spent enough time debating whether or not you should stress about something that never even happened. If that's what you want to do then go ahead, I'm done trying to talk you out of it.

Leading up to the Columbus series, there were many discussions here about whether we'd view a covid cup as a real cup.

Universally (including Dubas "critics" like me) everyone said a cup is a cup and there will be no asterisk.
