As a Red Wings fan, I'll tell you Kronvall and Zetterberg have played great! I've only seen Datsyuk in higlights, but he's being doing pretty awesome too. Draper and Maltby havn't being lighting it up, but I don't think they are supposed to . They've done pretty well, considered.

D. Sedin - great
H. Sedin - good
Ruutu - good
Morrison - good
Jovanovski - sucked at first, but is starting to come on
F. Fedorov - not getting any ice time
Hansen - pretty good for a teenager

Niko Kapanen- Lead Finland in scoring(5 points in 7 games), and was apparrently their best forward.

Jussi Jokinen- 1 point in 7 games(2 of which he wasnt on a regular line). Was one of Finland's better forwards, despite only 1 point(at least from what I've read from the Finnish fans, who seem a little upset that he wasnt really given a shot on a scoring line to show what he can do).

Brendan Morrow- 1 point in 7 games, haven't really heard anything positive or negative about him.

Mike Modano- Started off very slow, but picked it up the last few games. So-so tournament overall.

Rick DiPietro-Had a really good tournament. 1.68 GAA.
Mark Parrish-Also had a pretty good tournament. Scored five goals.
Mattias Weinhandl-Only has one point, an assist, in six games.
Kenny Jonsson (can I count him even though he retired from the NHL?)-He's doing okay (2 goals, 2 assists).
Alexei Yashin-Hasn't done a thing. No points in seven games.

Souray has been really bad. Streit has played great in the games that I saw him play. Grabovsky played pretty well from what I heard. Kostitsyn was so so but played good defensivly. Zednik I have not seen or heard much about him so I can`t really say anything about his play. Vyaderny (spelling is bad) has not impressed me at all but I was not expecting much from him. Markov has been playing pretty good also.

Palffy- Leading team Slovakia in scoring, and 3 overall in scoring.

Visnovsky- Leading all D-men in scoring.

Norstrom- Playing very well.

I'm disappointed thatYashin+Weinhandl aren't scoring.

Franz Neilsen had a pretty good tournamnet playing for Denmark.

Redden: Been Canada's best defender

Phillips: Shaky start, but is now performing better than most of Canada's D

Fisher: Glued to the bench most of the time. been very effective on the PK (which has been most of his ice time the last few games).

Hossa: Seems to have had a good tourney for Slovakia.

Chara: Slovakia's best defenseman. Only had trouble with Canada (and that was against our big line).

Alfredsson: Swedens leading scorer

Norrena - re-injured himself, was OK before that despite people blaming him for not being Kiprusoff :)

Prospal and Kubina - I still haven't managed to see the Czechs AT ALL (damn work schedule) and no one pays them any attention or comments on them, so I have no idea if they're doing a good job or not. Any info on them would be appreciated.

Boyle - Looked good to me when I've seen him, and seems to be getting good reviews for his work ethic. :handclap:

was OK? wasn't it him who got lit up against Sweden?

Vyborny- not doing as well as i had hoped, did get an assit yesturday

Spacek- scored the tying goal against the US, hasn't done a whole heck of a lot other than that

Nash- He's having a so-so tournament...

He's not a player from my team...but i've grown to understand all the hype about him...

Niklas Kronwall...sick, sick prospect, and quite underrated if you ask me, he's the Ovechkin of defesman if that makes any sense

You guys got a good, no great one Wings fans

Tomas Kaberle - 4 pts in 7 games. Respectable and not unexpected. Unfortunately, haven't had a chance to see him play, which is why Im hoping to see the Czech's advance into the finals (is TSN airing the Czech-Sweden game btw?)

I think that's it for the Leafs.

When your D hangs you out to dry, **** happens. That is not to mention that he apparently aggravated an old injury during this game.

How about you offer your own evaluations like everyone else is instead of critiquing other people's?

Both Vinny and Kuby are doing well, Kubina leads Czech Dman in pts (2G/2A) and is playing well on the PP. Prospal (1G/5A) is 2nd in Czech scoring behind Jagr.

Boyle has played D very well but has only 2 assists on offense. He's been receiving good marks on the Team Canada report cards (all B's).

my impression from following the game on here was that he let in some less than spectacular goals as well :p:

oh i'm sorry? that's not allowed? did i hurt your feelings or something? :shakehead

I haven't looked up stats and all for everyone related to the rangers org. that's playing so i haven't posted yet. the only one i'd say anything about is lundqvist, and he seems to be having an overall solid tournament, though a little up and down

Brian Gionta - Great tourney, excellent sparkl player
Zach Parise - Excellent in 3 games, especially for 20 year old.
Paul Martin - Not good at all IMO.
Victor Kozlov - Never seen him play yet.

ya.... that nash kid is alright.
:biglaugh:

Jagr(CZH) - Broke his finger but is still playing, putting up decent numbers

Prucha(CZH) - Impressed coaches and made the team over players like Halvat...pretty much silent on the 4th line.

Lundqvist(SWD) - Hes been alright, not at his best but he's still making the big saves when his team needs him to (US was an off game for him)

Pock(AUT) - Only played one game because he was added after the Wolfpack were eliminated from the AHL playoffs..heard he played good.

At the beginning he couldn't assist, later he couldn't score against slovaks. He doesn't play on penalty-killing and his defensive game is weak. But overall he is doing OK.
Vyborny, Spacek and Nash are just a half of the CBJ representatives. Tratting (AUT), Lakos (AUT) and Suchy (SLK) spent some time at the WC as well, but they probably weren't among best players of the tournament.

York: Can't play physical, was invisible against Canada, not selected in the USA shootout...for a guy who was playing in Europe this year I thought he should have a big tourney...but did very poorly. He was fortunate to be in the team in the first place...and I'd be suprised if he gets a call next time around.
#94: Does this guy ever take a bad penalty? #94 really doesn't require a review...any Oiler fan knows exactly what he brings to the table...and he does it every game.#94 has been on the opposing goaltenders a$$ everygame...he's controlling the play along the wall...he's toughing it out, driving wide to gain the zone,he scored a key goal in the quarters,he's bounced between the checking line and the #2 line and made the transition smoothly,he's got tons of Exp. in this tourney and it shows, and he's going to be great again tommorow.
Ty Conklin: Wasn't started in the USA must win game vs the Czech's,and Dipietro played awesome...so you have to believe the coach made the right call on that one. I was hoping for Conky' to carry over last years performance...but the guy is still a questionable NHL talent.
Ales Hemsky: If The Czech's put Hemsky in the lineup tommorow, that will be a huge vote of confidence for Ales...and I think he will play. I am excited to see the Czech's play...and I'm very encouraged that Hemsky is on the team and has managed to produce a bit. I was a Hemsky skeptic after the last NHL season...but this tourney could change my mind...if he has anything to offer tommorow.
Jani Rita: A guy who is maybe starting to get buried in the mix with the Oilers...like the rest of the Finnish forwards,Rita was very conservative and failed to make a splash.
Craig Mctavish: Seems to be the man in charge of the defence for Canada...Mac-T also seems to be the man in charge of the Oiler forwards...but you really have to wonder on both accounts. Team Canada owes 98% of the credit to the forwards.

OOps...I forgot Radek Dvorak...One assist in 7 games...Hmmm...I wonder why? Hemsky has 2 goals...thats more than York and Dvorak combined...very sad. Lets hope Dvorak can play like the "hot" D-vo we all know so well??????
