Scott Laughton. It appears to be the most logical. Only $3M and has a year left.

I think the key should be to spread the lines. That way it won’t matter

Knies. Matthews. DomI
Pacioretty Tavares. Willy
Mcmann. Kampf. Marner
Lorentz. Dewar. Holmberg/reeves

If there were no other additions of course.

Marner and Willy would be interchangeable.
The third line could be a checking line that could score b

Or if you wanted to hard match Tavares you could do that with Marner. Willy is better at one man offense. I could see him torching third lines

You can't do that as long as David Kampf is your 3rd line center.

If you can get the proper 3rd line center that's a different story.

You are going to ask who that is and I don't know but I do know It's not David Kampf

You think this is a top 10 playoff team? The depth is trash, we need to unload players that are holding us back and there are a lot. Some Marlies are likely better options and if you can move these maybe something comes back but to say top 10 team is crazy. This is a fringe team.with hot Tending. Zero depth zero accountability and zero full game efforts.

Again. This assuming no moves. I don’t see what is out there. We don’t have a 1st. Who are we getting?

I think it spreads it out. Having to worry about Willy going up against 3rd pair D.
Or being able to hard match Kampf and Marner against some secondary scorers would leave Willy to feast

Hardly, maybe some. The depth choices are all trash. Rather have Grebenkin Minten or some of the other Marlies. These guys do nothing at all

I mean they are literally in the top 10 in the league right so like it or not they are a top 10 team.
 
We're still paying the tab for Dubas' spending. We have just the 2nd rounder for this year right? If we trade that this whole year's draft is punted

OK well if you are assuming no moves then you can't do that, that's not going to work.

You can't put Mitch with David Kampf and expect that to be successful because David Kampf is an offensive black hole he has no finish.

In order to do what you need a better 3rd line center.

You need a Ryan Strome, Yanni Groude, ROR, you need somebody that isn't completely worthless offensively, otherwise your idea fails.
 
The Leafs are like Boston the past couple of years where they rode well above average goaltending, therefore they should treat this year like there’s no tomorrow.
