Smith wasn’t a good goalie, but I loved his leadership. I think we miss it

He was on his last legs, but they also miss his puck movement from the back end (when it didn’t end up as bloopers).

This team is really something else. Whether it be management not ready to make the moves necessary to ice a competitive team, or the players not being ready to play at puck drop, something is seriously lacking with every part of this organization, and no matter how many gms or coaches we go through, the issues remain the same.

From the DoD, to HOPE, to now having the two most productive forwards in the entire league, one of which who will likely go down as one of the top point producers ever, as well as Nuge and Hyman having career years, we STILL haven't made any real progress from the "skilled team that just hasn't put it together yet". One year conference finals, the next we're partway through Jan and sit outside of a wildcard spot by points %.
