He's a fast skater, I think, but his skating agility is generally considered to be poor.

It's a problem for teams with poor defensive structure.
Think hes doing pretty well consider takin out spots for Montour and OEL and seems fitting pretty noicly. Only 2 games tho.

Never forget, the rest is history.

Revisionist history but imagine if we had lost that in OT instead. Would we have won the cup last year? I doubt it… I think the experience was needed in multiple ways, felt in person, up and down the lineup, coaching staff, GM staff, trainers, everyone. So if that’s true then despite losing the SCF to Vegas, that shot by Verhaeghe was one of the precursors of the Cup win.

Same thing could be said about Verhaeghe’s series clincher against the Caps the year prior, that team was an empty net attempt away from falling 3-1 in that series but everything worked out all the way to that point were Swaggy could win it for us. They 100% needed to win a series for the sake of playoff experience, I see the sweep by Tampa like a necessary evil for the team to understand that playoff hockey isn’t that run and gun shit Coach Sleepy was running here. Chucky and Maurice coming to change the culture was the cherry on top, we are spoiled right now, a lot of teams waste years of their core and never get it together.

How good has Lundy become at battling and grinding out pucks, holy smokes. And I like Roddy but if Chucky is able to come back during the playoffs, him along with Benny & Samo has a chance to do some serious damage. (I know we seen a glimpse of it before Samo got injured)

Boston has issues, one of them I don't see people bring up often is that it's a low character team now.

With guys like Bergeron gone, they have a BPD fruit loop as captain and possibly the laziest star player in the NHL (Pastrnak) as the guys leading the club. Results right now don't surprise me.

I'm quite happy that Jones isn't trying to play hero-puck out there. He seems like he wants to play in the system and do what needs to be done to help the team. You love to see it.
Yeah Paul mentioned that in his post game that he liked how Jones is being respectful and really trying to learn the defensive side first but that once he’s comfortable, he’ll really help carrying the puck and helping the rush.

It’s almost like not playing for a shitter team helps the player.

A pedestrian 9-9-1 finish would still net them 100 points for the season. I want the division though. Let Toronto and Tampa battle it out again while we draw some rando from the Metro or Detroit

Definitely want the division. I think it's very important for the team. They won't say it, but they don't want to face Toronto or Tampa in R1.

Winning the division will likely get us whomever WC1 is. I don’t think we pass Washington in points unless they collapse.

The Eastern WC race is so packed it could be anyone from Columbus to Montreal

I tried to add a screenshot of the standings but the board is on the verge of dying again

Feels good that Chicago are the bad team, and we're the good team. Honestly felt like that was never going to happen at one point.

The only group of fans I've ever encountered that's ruder, nastier, and more obnoxious in the aggregate than Bruins fans would be Blackhawks fans. I'm so glad those pitiful f***ing wretches are suffering right now. I hope Bedard continues to be a colossal disappointment.

I have a feeling it’s gonna be rangers again. We’ll have to put them out to pasture.
