Any chance he is offer sheeted? He's RFA and Oilers needs caproom. Offer around 3m, would Oilers match?

Offer sheets are not a thing that happens
More likely to end up on waivers than be offer sheeted
Could work!! Their money is tied up elsewhere.
Especially because the Oilers will have to pay Bouchard much more than Nurse (so at least 9.5M) and given that Oilers fans think Bouchard is eliteeliteelite it won't be cheap!!
The offer sheets worked in the sense that the teams that made the offer sheet got the player. However, both teams likely wished that they had never made the offer because neither player was very good. The reality is that if a player is actually good, their team always matches.Kotkaniemi and Penner are the offer sheets that worked in the cap era.
Kesler, Vanek, Backes, Steve Bernier, Hjallmarsson, Weber, O'Reilly and Aho also signed one, but they were matched.
8 of those between 2006 and 2013.
5 years pause.
2 between 2019 and 2021.
He's former 14th overall pick. Has size, good wheels. Some upside there. Oilers hard against cap. Especially if they buy out CampbellI don't see that he's done anything to warrant an offer sheet.
Jesus Christ no, neither team does this, Bern.cap is a real thing
cost of forcing compliance is real
Lindgren rfa rights figure 3.75 - 4.25 per x 4, maybe 4 x 2
Robertson, , 2nd rnd LD prospect rfa rights
Henriksson, 2nd rnd C prospect pending rfa
Leschyshyn, 2nd rnd W a 766,667 expiring
for
Oil late 2024 2nd
Holloway
Broberg
Lavoie
why Oil:
Lindgren helps immediately
Robertson = big LD prospect for some reason [bias favoring Jones?] Rs did not develop, Knob likely knows, can get something out of him
Broberg reasonably likely to continue to next step, and next step after, but time
Holloway not a disaster but not showing anything for a mid 1st pick
Lavoie could turn into something but seeking instant help/cap relief
2nd this yr is a wince but it is late
Hen = not renewed
Les = bury in minors, does not count vs cap or give away
so cap saved, repurposed
Lindgren helps and possibly cushions if Ceci/his cap moved
Rangers:
Lindgren + Robertson likely gets 2 good 2nds + 3rd MIN from UT, which offer Oil must beat.
NY adds speed, height
late 2nd is another pick
Broberg, Holloway = we'll see
Lavoie as a pivot prospect makes this worthwhile
WHO THE f would offer Hollaway $3M per at this point...Any chance he is offer sheeted? He's RFA and Oilers needs caproom. Offer around 3m, would Oilers match?

He has 18 career points in 89 gp. 9 pts. in 38 gp this past season. No one cares that he a 14th oa pick, with those sorts of numbers. He is 30th in his draft year in points, and some with less points in the same draft such as Kaiser would have just as much value. He's former 14th overall pick. Has size, good wheels. Some upside there. Oilers hard against cap. Especially if they buy out Campbell
How are the Oilers hard against the cap? Buying out Campbell would give us cap relief, unless the plan is to go out and sign another 5M goalie. I doubt that is the plan. He's former 14th overall pick. everyone keeps saying the Oilers are against the cap and honestly I don't see it.How are the Oilers hard against the cap? Buying out Campbell would give us cap relief, unless the plan is to go out and sign another 5M goalie. I doubt that is the plan.
