Where will Hoglander land? The Red Wings or Flyers, thus ending the “when pigs fly” concern.
I'd pay to see Torts coach Hoglander lol.

Yep.Pettersson for Hoglander+ seems like a very logical trade.
when did Nick Robertson put up 20+ goalsNobody cares about Hoglander, I don't get the hype. Small, expensive.
Nick Robertson is there for free.
Canuck fan here. Honest low down on Hoglander.
1. Very undisciplined when he doesnt have the puck. Defensive Awareness is low and can take dumb penalties
2. 3 different coaches have soured on him...Travis Green, Bruce B, Tochett
3. Can be a wizard with the puck, highly gifted offensively
4. Buzz saw on the forecheck and relentless motor. Gets under the opponent skin alot
5. No off ice issues, highly motivated player. Came into camp in the best shape out of anyone on the team.
6. Given top 6/9 minutes with pp1/pp2 time I think he would easily be a 20/20 player with a chance to very much boom.
IMO he is a waaaay better player than someone like Kuzmenko who found himself in the similar Tochett doghouse.
Cost controlled, young, and can pot a team 20-25 goals. He will be in demand.
Still one of the dirtiest Michigan Ive seen due to the fact it was in constant motion.
Hoglander has magic hands but he needs to play in a system that will give him freedom.
Lol, the Penguins aren't taking on Forbort and Brisebois without getting much more in return. Unless you want to change Brisebois to Pettersson or Mynio and up the 6th to a 2nd.Yep.
To Pittsburgh: Hoglander, Forbort, Brisebois, 2026 6th
To Vancouver: Pettersson, 2025 5th
Price for Zadorov was 3rd and 5th. Pettersson would have very similar value, or slightly lower.Lol, the Penguins aren't taking on Forbort and Brisebois without getting much more in return. Unless you want to change Brisebois to Pettersson or Mynio and up the 6th to a 2nd.
How many dime a dozen 24 goal scorer a season ago at his age available? The problem is that those types of players are a dime a dozen. Lots of middle six guys fall through the cracks after their ELCs, because that ~$3m cap hit is excessive for similar production you can get from a waiver claim or another team's cap dump.
If I'm a rebuilding team, why am I paying even minimal assets for a $9m commitment over the next three years? When I can just as easily scoop a player in the same manner that San Jose acquired Jake Walman.
The GM that 'buys low' on Hoglander lacks vision IMO.
Nobody cares about Nick Robertson. There is no hype. Small, ineffective.Nobody cares about Hoglander, I don't get the hype. Small, expensive.

No offense, but hoglander scored 24 goals last year with no power play timeNobody cares about Hoglander, I don't get the hype. Small, expensive.

I don’t see them wanting another winger at all, it’s not a need even with Hoglander traded.I threw out Nieto and a 3rd for Hoglander, but what I think could be more appealing for Vancouver is Puljujarvi and a 3rd for Hoglander. Puljujarvi has been really effective when he has played for the Penguins, but Sullivan doesn't seem to like him for whatever reason. Swap of one guy a coach doesn't like for another, with the Penguins throwing on the 3rd to account for Hoglander having more value.
Not sure but he's on pace for a whopping 6 goals this season, there sure are a lot of those dime a dozen players available. How many dime a dozen 24 goal scorer a season ago at his age available?
Plus, the Penguins can retain on Pettersson, whereas the Flames didn't want to do so with Zadorov.Pettersson is wildly better than Zadorov.
Pettersson is better than Zadorov and will come at a cheaper hit if the Penguins retain.Price for Zadorov was 3rd and 5th. Pettersson would have very similar value, or slightly lower.

Pettersson is wildly better than Zadorov.
Is he? Statistically and the eye test might suggest Zadorov is actually better. Not seeing it.
It’s because of his defensive play, he’s not getting the same minutes as he got before, and he’s losing interest in rick. Not sure but he's on pace for a whopping 6 goals this season, there sure are a lot of those dime a dozen players available.
Petr Prucha also scored 30 goals as a 22 year old, he didn't last long in the league.
If Hoglander was so special, the Nucks wouldn't be looking to trade him. Give them credit for noticing it was a fluke last year and to try to sell high on him while they can.

You made the claim without any support? What stats? Zadorov is much worse
Trent Frederic for Hoglander? Fills your 3C need, and a player Tochett would love. Another Bruin too, which should fit in well in the room. For those that are interested:
The Canucks need:
1. Top 4 Dman to upgrade on Soucy or Myers
2. 3rd line C upgrade on Bleuger/Suter
3. Assets they can use to help them obtain the above
That's because you're trying a used car salesman tactic here trying to convince the Penguins fans to offer Pettersson at a lower costIs he? Statistically and the eye test might suggest Zadorov is actually better. Not seeing it.

Pettersson is playing more minutes. Points wise they are very similar. Pettersson struggles with breakouts and the first pass. Zadorov thrives there.
Zadorov is prone to bad penalties and mental lapses. But widely better? No
