Was kinda worried about him earlier in the season, but it turns out that rumors of his early demise were greatly exaggerated.

Given the deep laceration across his wrist last season, I'm relieved that he can still contribute at a high level.

Even with the goaltending implosion in last season's series against Vegas, I still think that a Kane who never suffered that injury could have helped tip the series in Edmonton's favor.

I totally agree. Beating Washington and Anaheim was good but those aren't exactly world beaters, and definitely not rivals. Beating Vegas is very different. Plus if it's a part of a three game winning streak it's all the more great.

And of course if we blow this lead it's almost equally as horrible.
