Rick Westhead: Case of Toronto coach sanctioned for misconduct highlights Hockey Canada secrecy over | TSN
The case of a women’s hockey coach in Toronto who breached Hockey Canada’s code of conduct multiple times but is still coaching is again raising questions about why a number of national sport federations in Canada are keeping sanctions for misconduct secret from the public. Rick Westhead has more.

More than 50 complaints/incidents. From using coarse language in berating team, to photobomb mooning, to entering lockerroom even if players were partially clothed, xenophobic actions, accusing players of lying about injuries, misogynistic comments, etc.
Recommendation was to ban for life. Instead given slap on wrist and allowed to be assistant coach after some training.
Shows Hockey Canada in poor light, not allowing transparency.
These incidents did occur before the major reorganization and leadership shake up, but follow through not thorough.
