honestly it was never this. Mitch has had his moment where hes been poor but hes been outright electric last few weeks.

From game 1 matty has been off. Missing passes, dangling through guys and stickhandling like JT last year where he cant hold onto the puck.

He's not seeing the play well, he isn't shooting well he's just..... off :/

This is so unlike him.

So I'm not old enough to remember Salming playing. I do remember him being one of my grandfather's favorites. Can somebody tell me who in today's game plays a style that's closely comparable to Salming?

I'd have to say John Carlson at his best, Salming, never won the Norris, but he played against Bobby Orr( Makar but really tough), Denis Potvin, Paul Coffey( Makar copy) and a few more guys ended up in the HoF. Salming was tough and never took a backward step, he actually had a high of 170 PIMs and still got maybe 75 points, I think his career best was 78 pts.

What I can also say is that he rates right up with Tim Horton who has 4 cups in his career
