Lardis filled the darn nets this season with 71 goals in 65 games. Not every year (Or every decade for that matter) that we see a 70 goal scorer in this league. I’m not sure his accomplishment has received the warranted recognition.

You have to go back 18 years to John Tavares (72 goals in ‘06-07) for the last time someone scored 70.

You then have to go back to Eric Lindross (70 goals in ‘90-91) to find another such season.

These are the only three 70 goal seasons in the last 38 years.

Have to say I was a little surprised he didn't end up closer to 75 with the pace he was on for a bit near the end of the season, a great achievement regardless. Hope he can keep the scoring touch next season as well in Rockford if he doesn't make the big team.

Will never know if there would have been another player on the list if the 2020 season played out in full but goal-scoring has certainly been on display in the O.
