Compression to keep swelling down so he can fit his skate on next game?He left the game on a boot, but sure let’s call it embellishment

Something very weird is going on. I've never seen anyone having to walk out in a boot after a slash. Hintz has played 100s of hockey games in his life and he goes down to that. That makes no sense.
I think the most likely outcome and logical answer is that he faked it. Him leaving in the boot increases the chance of Nurse getting suspended for a few games. They weren't winning that game anyways. Although not like Nurse is any good anyways lol.

I agree I don't believe there was a reason to give up or anything, but that 3rd period in game 1 is a 1/1000 occurrence. Why would Hintz think the game was over? The Stars scored 5 goals in the 3rd period of Game 1.
Do you also respect fan bases hoping for retaliation, and for the Stars to retaliate on McDavid?I respect how much joy certain base gets from injuries
Pretty amazing to twist yourself into a nonsense pretzel and declare this tripe to be logical.Something very weird is going on. I've never seen anyone having to walk out in a boot after a slash. Hintz has played 100s of hockey games in his life and he goes down to that. That makes no sense.

I don’t think Roope Hintz has the same stuff in him that Mike Ribeiro had for quite a bit of his career. He’s way too clean of a guy for that. That’s more coming under Evander Kane’s alley…Players block 90 mph slap shots with their feet and can keep playing or at a minimum stand up and skate to the bench.
If Hintz plays tomorrow then it tells you he's got the Mike Ribeiro in him.
Both can be true. YupNot an embellishment, also not a 5 minute penalty or a suspension
Yes it's complete idiocy to believe he was able to return.People actually think he missed most of the third period because he was faking it?
Your fandom has made you delusional.
Accordnig to the rule it IS a 5. If a player is injured it is supposed to be 5. Of course that means the officials have to determine if there was a dive. Not an embellishment, also not a 5 minute penalty or a suspension
Yeah, this is how the league is now sadly. And people will clutch their pearls to defend it instead of call it out nowadays.
That’s not what the rule says.Accordnig to the rule it IS a 5. If a player is injured it is supposed to be 5. Of course that means the officials have to determine if there was a dive.

If there was a 5 for everytime a slash injured or hurt someone, there would be one of those called a game
Based on a severity of contact, on a no windup slash aimed at the shin pads, that’s never getting a 5.61.3 - A major penalty, at the discretion of the referee based on the severity of the contact, shall be imposed on a player who slashes an opponent. When injury occurs, a major penalty must be assessed under this rule (see 61.5).
