Speculation: Hindsight Deal -Trouba, Lindholm, Hall

I am happy with how things have turned out. I honestly think Adam Larsson is a stud D man and I am happy to have him on the Oilers. The way the Hall trade worked out, I am glad it was hall that was dealt and not RNH or Draisaitl because Center Depth is crucial to winning championships. Yeah Obviously the fans would have liked to see a second round pick come back with larsson but oh well.

As for Trouba, he is a baby. Wants to play in the states, have at er. I hope The jets atleast get some goods back for him.

Yes hall would fix a need, but trading lindholm creates a bigger need for us and that is a true top pairing dmen.

Not to mention in division.

Larsson was the best option for us. Lindholm>Larsson>Trouba. No chance ANA trades in division, no interest in Trouba's obscene contract demands.

Larsson at $4.16 M through the 2020-21 season works better for us with McDavid and Drai about to get paid.

Yes in hindsight there was a 3 way deal that could have been very interesting between Ana, Wpg and Edm.

Ana needed a world class winger, Wpg. needs a LHD and Edm. wanted a RHD. There might have been some adds one way or the other but that would have been a blockbuster.

It seems to me that a 3 way deal was possible. I think Trouba was better than Larson. Ana has many highly rated D. Wpg. has big problems getting good vaue for a player that just doesn't want to play in Wpg.

Lindholm and Hall definitely have more value then Trouba, Might've been interesting but now we will never know. Lindholm is staying put in Anaheim and Hall is staying put in New Jersey. Just remains to be seen what happens to Trouba.

I am willing to bet that the ducks wont trade Lindholm to a division rival and the oilers were not going to do the same thing.
