I'd argue Krebs has the higher potential. If they were both the same size, and Krebs hadn't had the achilles injury pre-draft, I think Krebs would have been the higher pick. A lot of ifs, sure, but i'm still a firm believer Krebs has the higher end skill set. At this point he tends to try to do too much out there, but once he dials it back, he's going to be a VERY effective 2-way player. His vison and passing are off the charts.
Lol @ if they were both the same size wtf is that  imagine IF Caufield was 6"4

You don't think teams put higher emphasis on size? Glad you are having a good time anyhow.

The thread is about potential. Teams drooled over Dach's size/skill combo. I happen to think Krebs is more skilled.

And yes, if Caufield was 6'-4" he would have been a top pick. Not sure what that has to do with anything i said though...

Really like Krebs, but I'll take Newhook all day. Amazing for a rookie to even make that stacked team, and he did really well in an unfamiliar role. He periodically showed the elite skills he's known for, but mostly focused on being responsible.

The opportunity should come to play with more talented linemates. He's also a fitness freak. Playing with better players as he gets thicker and tougher to move off the puck means many great days ahead for Avalanche fans.

Contrary to the belief of some, I also think this kid belongs in the middle. It took a little while for Jerry York to figure that out at BC, I hope Bednar will as well.

yes because you make zero sense how the hell can you say if Krebs was 6'4 like no buddy hes not and never will and Dach was a beast before hes wrist injury specially in the bubble he already proved he can have an impact in the NHL that injury just slowed him down hard so hopefully thats behind him

For me Newhook has jumped to the top of this list. He's nice and insulated in Colorado, and could still be given some nice opportunities.

I love Newt but it's Dach for me. Now will he actually hit that potential? Who knows, but he definitely has the highest potential.

Highest upside as centre..

Turcotte
Krebs

Newhook
Dach

(not sure Newhook and Dach will be centres)

Dach looked great before the injury at the WJC...A young big fast center like that is a pretty good bet to have a resurgence

Not feeling Dach or Turcotte. Both have had some major setbacks in development and the opposite can be said for the other two. Dach doesn't have the brains to be something great. I'll take Krebs in this poll, but Newhook is close behind him.
