Who have the highest potential between Kirby Dach, Alex Turcotte, Peyton Krebs and Alex Newhook?
Dach
Newhook
Krebs
Turcotte
For me but they're still young enough that it could totally flip.
Wisconsin was a tire fire that year, and no one could have seen the pandemic having the impact it had on pro hockey (he signed like a week or two before everything shutdown).I'm still shocked the kings pulled Turcotte from the badgers
Nobody in NCAA circles thought he had developed enough.
Dach is getting some Montreal hopium votes. His wrist is dust, unfortunately. Probably would've forsure had the best career out of them all if not.
Going on year 3 now, if it isn't healed properly by now it's not ever going to be.
I said going on 3 years, as in this will be year 3, an important year at that. It’s been 2 years and he’s been really disappointing given his draft position. Chicago knows this which is the only reason a player like that is traded so early on in their career. He has only played 1 season after his wrist injury. It hasn't been 3 years.

In hindsight, it was obviously the wrong move, but it wasn’t completely out of left field at the time.
Oh I agree completely in hindsight, I was just trying to provide context that it wasn't a decision just made out of nowhere. There were rumblings that the Kings brass was very concerned with how that season was handled by Wisconsin's coaching staff. We now all wish he'd been left another year, but what's done is done.Caufield was also on that team, but he was left to develop for another year which was the best decision that could have been made. You have to wonder how much this affected Turcotte's development as he wasn't even a point a game player and was nowhere close to dominating the NCAA, but yes in hindsight, it was a horrible move by the Kings.
I voted Dach because of this poster. Wait didn't everyone vote Dach because of this poster.Dach is getting some Montreal hopium votes. His wrist is dust, unfortunately. Probably would've forsure had the best career out of them all if not.

I'd argue Krebs has the higher potential. If they were both the same size, and Krebs hadn't had the achilles injury pre-draft, I think Krebs would have been the higher pick. A lot of ifs, sure, but i'm still a firm believer Krebs has the higher end skill set. At this point he tends to try to do too much out there, but once he dials it back, he's going to be a VERY effective 2-way player. His vison and passing are off the charts.Have to go with the homer pick hoping that wrist injury is behind him and he breaks out in Montreal
He definitely has the higher potentiel
