Hey everybody. There's always variations of these every year on this site. The idea is to try to reach a consensus for who each team might pick would the fans of that team be in control.

We had one going about a month ago but unfortunately the user stopped polling teams. Rather than continuing his, I'm starting another mock draft, going team to team. Opinions may have changed from then till now anyway.

We have roughly 20 days left until the draft, which means there will only be 24 hours to select each player. Obviously, we're only looking for the fans of each team to vote on their pick.

Blue Jacket fans, you have the 16th overall pick

I went with Milano, but could have easily picked Larkin, Tuch, or Scherbak.

Solely based off of scouting reports and very little video, I think Pastrnak has lots of upside, so I put my vote with him. Definitely boom or bust but I think that's where we should look given how deep our prospect pool is.

If the options are as shown, gotta be one of Scherbak or Honka ... I'll throw in Bleackley as my next hopeful. I went with Scherbak ... kid has only gotten better all year.

Having read lots of stuff about all of these guys and no clear cut favorites jump out I went with Scherbak as a boom/bust pick. There are probably safer choices but if this kid keeps developing he could be a steal.

Scherbak

His adaptation to NA and willingness to learn coupled with his high end promise and continued improvement this kid could be a first line talent.

I'm a bit concerned about Scherbak's rate of ascension. It worked with Johansen but I think Johansen is an unusual case. I'm less worried about the Russian Factor due to Tyutin, Bob, Anisimov, and currently Nikitin.

That said, I voted for Tuch. I suppose the NCAA track is also something that is concerning but I like what BC did with Atkinson and Kreider among others.

Something interesting is how BIG this forward draft class is. Most years pick #16 is looking at a number of small, boom or bust guys. This year, it seems that there are a plethora of 6'1"+ kids with decent skills throughout the first round.

Between Barbashev, Scherbak and Tuch for me. I've been in the Sherbak group for quite awhile so i'll go with him. Had the most impressive season in my eyes. I'd be happy with any of them but atleast for today i'll stick with Scherbak
