My nephew at a 6 months old woke my brother up with his crying and when he went into the nursery, it was like a horror scene of shit. This little wanker had exploded with liquid shit all over himself and in his crib, he was just fully soaked in shit. My brother told me he just threw the crib out and got a new one the next day, there was no point in trying to clean it he stated, that it was so soaked that he would have needed to get it professionally cleaned and he just did not want to deal with it anymore and felt it best to just buy a new one.

It still cracks me up, because my nephew was soaked in shit except for his hands and face and I can't imagine waking up at 4am to that literal shit show.

I laugh now but I am sure I will get some karmic payback for laughing when my wife and I have ours if all things go well.
 
Yeah but here’s the cliche-but-true part: you don’t care nearly as much when it’s your kid.

But I really do hope you and your wife get to experience this, mate! We’re keeping you in our thouhts!

Love death and bots is another new season... seems weird to look forward to an hour of few minute episodes but... it's something.

I was looking for a good anime and somehow found myself stumbling into I think manga porn or hentai it’s called? My wife walks in while I’m sitting there confused like “wtf is this?” And she’s like “what weird shit did you get into that day you spent alone in Japan looking for scale models and souvenirs?”

I saw this cool clip on instagram and wanted to watch something like it, the enemy’s the pirates cats banquet or some thing like that.

Some how ended up watching some anime space porn that was like “ok is this like a random scene or oh no no, this is going on for a while, oh now the English dub is really perverted, oh yeah it’s porn.”

I found the first 4 episodes to be very hit or miss so far, mostly miss, well entirely miss. The 3rd one was interesting, I might give it another watch as I find you gotta give these episodes a few run throughs to catch some of the things they're aiming at.

I thought Season 3 was also pretty hit or miss. Which is annoying because Tim Miller did Secret Level for Amazon and he f***ing nailed it for every episode. The different takes on video games, also just putting some of the stories out there in that format is just awesome. I absolutely adore that Mega-Man one, that was one of my favourite series.

For Season 3:
Episodes 1 and 9 were great, I thought Episode 3 was interesting - finding out that all of the men on the ship voted to have Phaiden Island be slaughtered by the monster, he kills them all instead and then lights the boat on fire and escapes when they get close to the Island. The rest were interesting but forgettable.

For Love, Death, Robots - I don't like how they keep shortening the seasons. First season was 18 episodes, then it went down to 8, then 9, and now 10 but with how short some are, it's not much. Then the wait time, Season 1-2 is 2yrs, then it's 1yr for Season 3 and then 3yrs for Season 4.

I don't think its even one of those things that you will see as being mad at either, it's one of those "this sucks, but wow I'm a father..." type of things you know? I mean of course you know, you're literally living it right now lol.

Yeah, it's just a thing that happens and you have to deal with it. :laugh: I dunno, there's this work acquaintance who was telling me how much he got mad at his kids when they were similar ages and I find that line of thinking extremely insane. It's an infant, they have no control over what they are doing and they are dependent solely on you-- why get mad?

I have heard excellent things about Shinichirō Watanabe's Lazarus which comes out this year.

Damn it, I just want some cool robots, space ships, and more sci fi stuff, but somehow I keep running into these anime shows and movies that get porn-y. The Japanese need to chill the f*** out.

Bocchi the Rock was in fact awesome. I think there's supposed to be a movie soon? One 'standard'I didn't see on your list was FMAB. You probably have seen it and just didn't list but if you haven't, it's a must. One of my off-the-wall favs was Assassination Classroom. Get past the weird premise if you can and keep with it. It's around 50 episodes I think.

I have not checked out Lazarus though I am familiar. Like I said, I'm watching Apothecary Diaries right now which I would also give a thumbs up. It's an interesting premise with a kind of mystery of the week vibe that later all gets pulled together. Also Mao Mao has to be one of the better recent MC's.

Are you...are you sure you're not just on a hentai page? Accidentally I'm QUITE sure.

In all honesty though, there is a definitely tendency of anime to sometimes get a bit fan servicey. Especially in certain genres.

Yeah Bocchi is one of the few Subs I watch. I can’t go back and forth so if I start a show with one I won’t switch.

I just don’t get the FMAB love. Everyone says it’s amazing but when I watched it felt very meh to me. I think it’s a show you needed to be there for because a lot of feels dated now.

Perhaps that's true, I definitely enjoyed it though. I never watched the original FMA, not sure if it matters or not.

Just watched season 4... very very big disappointment. Pretty much a big nothing waste of time.
Two or three years for that? Gross.

DanDaDan is a good example of what we were saying..I really enjoyed it and am looking forward to new episodes this summer but you will see folk turned off because of some 'fan servicey' moments or some 'triggering' type stuff. I'm absolutely not going to judge anyone who has them but I mean, that's anime. I'll watch and just hope my kids aren't behind me.

Also, a banger of an OP helps. Why does anime as a medium seem to have like 95% of the best opening/closing themes and visuals?

The box throws all anime shows together. I don’t think they know some of it is heavy with the nudity. They definitely suck at categorizing.

So now I’m checking all titles on IMDb.
