I am looking into alternatives. Whatsapp and FaceTime have the same problem.

And I really do not have the time to spend 4-6 hours each week altering each little segment of 10 seconds to make sure the audio values are similar.

There's gotta be a way to automate it though right?

Looks like there are services like audiophonic and others that automate it in post. I used to use some fancy tools back in my podcasting days that did it for my voice automatically but not on a conversation...but that was like 10 years ago so times have changed.
