Talking to someone new and they are incidentally a Rangers fan. I asked them who are some of their favorite "random" Rangers.

Her: Wayne Gretzky. Carl Hagelin. Martin St. Louis

I had Freddy Sjostrom and Roman Hamrlik.

I suspect there was a disconnect here. Let me hear yours. Brad Isbister and Pascal Dupuis don't count because I randomly decided now that they don't.

Low/no carbs (under 20g per day), high fat, moderate protein diet.

I do 5%, 65% fat, 30% protein with my macros.

Your body then burns fat instead of glucose. So you lose weight since the only fuel is your body fat. You also feel way less hungry since carbs are basically a drug for your body and modern humans are super addicted.

It’s a tough diet (the first week sucks ass since you go through the Keto flu), but it gets a lot easier once you’re body is fat adapted and you know how to eat.
Where do I find this?

The only Top Gear thing I've ever seen was the episode where they refurbished this British athletes backyard and it was absolute anarchy.

I am a work and they blocked reddit

Is it a plan or like a package or is it something I just start to do?
It's stupid easy. It costs nothing. No plan, no package.

You need to rely on MyFitnessPal for tracking and get below 20 carbs per day. Use ruled.me to see some basic guidelines. Grapes, for example, would almost assuredly not be a keto-friendly food (most fruits are not).

I've lost 60 pounds since August on Keto. I'm nearly at my HS weight and feel/look great.

You just stop eating carbs. Eggs and bacon for breakfast. lunch is actually kind of hard. steak, burger, chicken whatever meat you want for dinner.

Ever since I discovered Quest Hero bars, lunch is super easy. 4 net carbs and they taste like I am eating candy. Never had a bar that tastes like this. The blueberry cobbler one is Godly.

I suppose I will have to start trying this
Do you have like any good meals to start with or ideas

I think the easiest way really is to just peruse something like ruled.me. They ahve a bunch of keto recipes. I generally cook for myself. A lot of eggs, a lot of bacon, a lot of red meat, a lot of cheese (although make sure you read the labels). The only way to really do a low carb diet is to heavily track what you eat.

You care about net carbs. Net carbs are:

Carbohydrates minus Fiber

Under 20g of net carbs is what will get you into ketosis.

On my way to my last hockey game of this trip. Seattle Thunderbirds vs Kelowna Rockets. It's been 3 amazing weeks, but I am ready to go home on Sunday.

I like meat and eggs. This could work.

Should I be concerned with anything? Like what were your thoughts or worries with it, etc

The only worry I had was the keto flu. It could last anywhere up to a week or maybe two. It sucks; you basically get flu symptoms as your body starts burning fat rather than carbs.

The other worry, I guess, is just making sure you track stuff. You have to be super diligent and that is where a lot of people fall off the wagon. Eating 40 carbs will not allow you into ketosis. Eating 20 or below net carbs will. And it's super easy to accidentally eat extra carbs.

The episode had nothing to do with cars.

It did have a lot to do with excessive concrete, rocket turbines and tree benches though.
This is accurate for Top Gear. Either the episodes are 90% about cars, or they're episodes that the cars are the sideshow.

I suggest, if you want to get into Top Gear more, you watch the specials. They're generally good. Botswana and Vietnam are my favorites. Bolivia was also really tense. If you have Amazon Prime, you can watch Series 2 of the Grand Tour.

Life would be better if more people watched Top Gear/Grand Tour. Even if you aren't into cars as much as gearheads.

Only concern is that it could lead to ketoacidosis. Like ketosis is a mild form of ketoacidosis. If the pH in your blood drops too low, thats really bad. Diabetics are at risk of major health issues with a diet like this.
