@Boris Zubov going to be down in the John’s of Bleecker Street area for March Madness this week, any pizza by the slice recommendations in that area?
Yes, of course. Two prime spots within 2 blocks of John's. Joe's is right there on 6th & Carmine. Bleecker Street pizza is on 7th & Barrow.

But honestly, if you get the chance to sit down & eat at John's just do it. That pizza is just so damn good. I love Joe's, but it's lost a little of their fastball. John's is still as good as it's ever been.

Has anyone had Katz patrami shipped out of state? Curious what the quality ends up being like.

It’s pretty good….they ship it in vacuum sealed plastic, and you put it in boiling water to heat it up.

You will never get better than freshly cut at Katz, but it’s still worth it. I suggest adding some knishes to your order.

The care packages are well curated, well packed, and reheat nicely. Got one for my birthday last year and enjoyed it for a week.

Ive watched some videos that seemed good but every once in a while I see a bad review of the stuff shipped so I have to decide is it worth risking the $100 or so. Id definitely get Pastrami and Russian dressing. Maybe corn beef and knishes.

Im glad to hear that. What did you order for proteins? Round or square knish? Worth ordering their hot dogs,?

I’ve had the pastrami and the brisket. I’ve never had their hot dogs.

Square knishes for sure.

You also get a loaf of their rye bread….very good too (along with some pickles).

For me…..it’s just pastrami on rye with some mustard….and a few square knishes…with mustard. And gotta get some Dr. Browns black cherry soda to wash it down.

Alright maybe I will take a chance. For me it will be either 2 packages of pastrami or 1 pastrami and 1 corned beef. Ill probably get the knishes as well. Thanks for the help.

I don't normally go out of my way to give Pizza reviews (I've dropped some suggestions in here for places in BK that I really like) but I legit had a life changing Pizza experience today.

Juliana's in Dumbo is the best god damn Pizza I've had in my life. Legitimately got better with each bite and it's "reasonably" priced in comparison to some of the other top spots in the area.

10000000000/10 recommend if you're in the area or are willing to travel a bit for amazing pizza. We had a bit of a wait (30 minutes?) on a Sunday afternoon.

Thanks for sharing. I've been meaning to resurrect this thread with some new places I've been to recently.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Juliana's is the old Grimaldis from what I understand...the original Grimaldis owners took back the property once the current Grimaldis owners moved down to the corner into a bigger space. I've been looking forward to trying this place for awhile...I've heard many glowing reviews.

Just an FYI, down the street from Juliana's is Ignazio's, which also has EXCELLENT pizza. The owner has a place here in West Hartford called Luna which is equally fantastic. He opened another Ignazio's in Mystic CT, but had to close for personal reasons. His pizza is really worth a try if you're in that area & you don't want to wait on line at Juliana's.

The OG Grimaldi's owners are involved with this place yeah. When I say it was next level, I really mean it. I haven't had anything like this anywhere and if better places exist I need to try them.

It's not a slice shop in the way that some of my other favorites in BK are (F+F, Paulie Gee's which are both also top tier) so if you want to grab and go thats not an option here but holy f*** was it good.

I'll pop into Ignazio's at some point. We're only a few blocks (and a steep ass hill) away now. They're opening up a L&B Spumoni Gardens in the same cluster soon (allegedly) but I swear it's been under construction for years (though I heard the quality of the OG has drastically fallen off.)

L'industrie in Williamsburg is supposed to be really high end too but I don't think I'll be able to hit that one for a while.

I love Juliana's. It is also my favorite pizza.

I've also been loving Detroit style pizza recently. Those edges are something else.

It costs a farkin’ fortune down under but Rare Breed is a nasty habit I picked up from a couple of your boys when I was stationed in the “suck” on my last deployment.

About $120AUD these days.

I think that is double what it costs here in the states. Have an open bottle sitting on my whiskey shelf.

Good bottle though. Enjoy!!

They opened up a Detroit style spot a few blocks away from where we used to live. They were literally moving the ovens into the place as we were moving out.

Haven't made it back out there yet to try it but the reviews look really solid.
