Looks like default style is still only one available. There's also a few dozen push notification categories that are enabled by default. I hope those don't actually work.

I definitely recommend the Dark Reader browser extension. Lets you turn any site Dark by default and in my experience it works really well on all but a couple of the sites I've tried, and lets you customize the ones that are wonky if you want to try to sort them out. I've used it in Windows on Firefox and Chrome, also on Android. Available on Safari and iOS, too, last I checked.

Payment is optional, so try it for a while to see how it works for you. One-time $10 if you want to kick in. It's been awesome for me.

I have that and use it a lot. Thanks for reminding me to turn it back on for HF. The white background was burning a hole in my retinas

Funny. I had changed my preferences but Dark Mode still kept coming on. Now tonight it is bright white baby! So now it is sticking for me and not working for others. I’m not going to touch.
