I'll stand on my same ground as the last poll.

Everyone is praising Demidov's MHL stats but what these other guys did in better leagues gets overlooked? Smith just lead NCAA in scoring putting up Eichel/Fantilli/etc. numbers. Gauthier had the most goals in how long? Nikishin is the captain of one of the best organizations in the KHL and almost point/game as a huge defensemen. Yes Demidov is great, but the fact he played MHL makes it hard to put him above the others...otherwise he would've been the clear #2 in the 2024 draft

Smith for me. I wouldn’t fault anyone who prefers Gauthier though. Or Nikishin.

Demidov needs to show something in the KHL before he gets put above Nikishin or Michkov.

Too many Habs fans voting or not enough people know about Nikishin
Im sure he'll be great offensively, but itll still be interesting to see how he transitions to the NHL. Its pretty rare to see Dmen come from the K and be stars..... I mean when you have guys like: Reid Boucher, Nik Goldobin, and Jordan Weal who are 2-3-4 in league scoring, I question how good the Dmen are defensively.

Off the top of my head, I remember Anton Belov being a top KHL Dman and coming over to EDM, only to flop quite miserably.

Yeah now that Demidov is a Hab lets just pretend that every board on this site who's team was picking from 2-5 wasn't clamoring for him.

Not saying he is necessarily better or worse than Nikishin/Smith, but he has always been an extremely popular prospect on this website, before he was ever a Hab.

Torn between Demidov and Smith. Voted Smith by a very thin margin.

Nikishin comes after Smith and Demidov for me. Then likely Gauthier is my next pick. Of course with prospects, this can and will change relatively quickly year over year.

Michkov is already off the board and second.

I thought about Nikishin but he is 22 (23 when the season starts) and from 5 drafts ago.

Add Tom Willander (homer canuck vote)
