Musty.... had the highest PPG in the OHL (D+1) amongst the top scorers. His size is the kicker at 6'2 200lbs, and should only get bigger.

Yakemchuk
Ritchie
Lambert
Bourque
Helenius

I would say Bourque is the most proven
Ritchie is the player who I think ends up the best all-around in 8 years.

yeah hes been in the polls a lot, just not getting votes yet. I rotate a bunch of them.
Makes sense. He isn’t a sexy prospect in terms of his play style, so he doesn’t get a lot of attention. But I think if you were to do a 2023 redraft today, Bonk would be in the top 15 based on his development so far.

This isn't even a knock of him, but so many guys have improved their stock since being drafted in 2023 I don't even think Bonk would move up much if at all. Outside of the top-10...Benson, ASP, Moore, Bonk, Perrault, Musty, Ritchie, Cowan, Lindstein, Nadeau, Brindley all had amazing years. That doesn't include the 12 guys before Benson who all had good years as well lol.

Maybe, but there are guys like Honzek and Barlow that I don’t think had particularly good seasons (in some cases due to injury) who would be drafted lower today if there were a redraft.

Savoie would have been top 25 if he didn't get dealt 4 weeks ago
Pretty much and the list has a ton of recent bias and then Bourque who had a great year but is also much older.

I took Ritchie and add Shane Doan who had a very impressive late season look and brings more than just points to the table.

I guarantee you there are more Oiler fans than Sabres fans here.... by a long shot
There also exponentially more Oiler haters than saber haters so there is that.

Montreal has the most haters of all, yet Hutson and Reinbacher were voted early.... All you need is enough homers
Does Montreal have alot of homers........:sarcasm:

Realistically there could be any of ten guys elft that actually become the best player from all that are on the list and some aren't even up for voting yet...Shane Doan.

Shane's a little old ;)

Ive had him in about 3 or 4 polls already, though

He isn't a sexy pick but my bet is that he is going to be as good or better than half the guys available for voting right now and he is going to have a very high floor.

No, they definitely do not.

The hate the Oilers & Leafs get on HF is much greater than Montreal these past few years.

When you're team sucks, you don't get as much hate

There have been a group of about 5 or 6 Oiler fans religiously voting Savoie since about #10. I seriously doubt these same fans would have been doing the same 3 weeks ago as well. Just to contrary the strange logic Skolman is using.

It's not that people hate the Oilers and are avoiding Savoie (weird complex). It's that we are in the mushy middle and it's hard to navigate the next best prospect. There's nothing about Savoie that makes him no-brainer vote right now.

No one is voting for an Oilers prospect because Oilers

Tom Willander will likely get a handful of NHL games at the end of this upcoming season. He is arguably the best skater in his draft class and is a right shot dman. He is not really getting votes right now...

Jonathan Lekkerimaki just led his team in scoring as a 19 year old in a men's league (SHL). He's getting a few votes but not a ton of attention.

It's not about Oiler haters, it's that there are still a large group of very good prospects remaining. You are being ridiculously biased if you feel Savoie should have won a vote so far. It's very much up in the air who should be next. I do agree people are more likely to vote prospects from the most recent draft, though.
